Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a constant AC voltage even if in-use conditions are changed by connecting both terminals of the secondary winding of a transformer between emitters of transistors inserted at the primary side and by comparing its secondary- side voltage with a normal voltage between bases of transistors.
CONSTITUTION: A control circuit is connected in series to the primary winding of transformer TR. Emitters of transistors T1 and T2 of the control circuit are connected to both terminals of the secondary winding of TR and between bases, a reference voltage obtained by dividing the Zener voltage of Zener diode ZD1 (ZD2) by resistance R3 (R4) and variable resistance VR is applied at every half cycle of an AC voltage. With terminal 1 held positive, as the voltage of terminals 3 nears the base voltage of transistor 1, its conduction is limited and the voltage of terminal is also limited. As the voltage of terminal 3 drops, a current flowing through the transistor is increased to increase the voltage applied to the primary winding.
