Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a compact waste water treating apparatus, by lifting up the waste water by utilizing the capillarity effect through a packed tube packed with fillers and solid sterilizing agents and discharging the waste water to the appointed location for discharge.
CONSTITUTION: The lower part of a packed pipe 3 being packed with fillers and solid sterilizing agents 2 is located under the level of waste water in a water treating tank 5. The upper part of the pipe is located above the water level and connected with a lateral packed pipe 3a in the level situation. The outlet of a discharging pipe 6 is located above a discharging place 7. The waste water, after being treated in a preliminary treating tank 10, is flown to a precipitation tank 8 via a transfer pipe 11 and separated there from solid materials. The supernatant water is flown from there through passage holes 13 into a treated water tank 5 and then lifted up through the inside of the said tube 3 by utilizing the capillarity effect and discharged to a trench 7a and discharges from said pipe 6 through said tube 3a. In these procedures, the waste water is sterilized by solid sterilizing agents 2 and also filtrated by filler materials 1. A by-pass pipe 15 is additionally installed to introduce the water to a trench 7a, providing for possible overflow of said tank 8 or said tank 5. As above stated, this apparatus is made compact because no pump is required.
