Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent corrosion of a sealing alloy, by a method wherein a cylindrical connection metal made of an alloy for sealing is contained in a glass tube.
CONSTITUTION: A heat collecting tube is inserted into a hole 3 in a glass stem 2, and a cylindrical connection metal 5 made of an alloy for sealing is adhered for sealing at the periphery of the hole 3 at the glass tube (1) side. After the other end of the connection metal 5 is welded to the heat collection tube, a base open end of the glass tube 1 is fitted in a channel in the glass stem 2, and is adhered for sealing with a flit glass 8 molten. Gas is exhausted through an exhaust pipe 11. A more effective results can be produced by filling a space between the connection metal 5 and the heat collecting tube with synthetic resin and the like.
