Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the sucking efficiency of a pump by a method wherein a throttle part is provided in a fluid-supplying passage and a return pipe is provided in the fluid-supplying passage on the downstream side of the throttle part in such a manner as to be approximately tangential to the fluid-supplying passage.
CONSTITUTION: The throttle part 47 is provided in the fluid-supplying passage 39 connected with a bypass passage 38, and the return pipe 46 for conducting the fluid discharged from a power steering device is provided in the passage on the downstream side of the throttle part 47 in such a manner as to be approximately tangential to the passage 39. Accordingly, since the return flow from the power steering device enters into the passage 39 and generates a vortex, the pressure at the central part of the vortex is lowered to suck-in the fluid contained in a fluid tank 50, so that supercharging is conducted also in the passage 39. Therefore, the pressure in the passage 39 can be maintained at a level higher than the atmospheric pressure and the suction efficiency of the pump can be enhanced.
