PURPOSE:To produce an amorphous ferromagnetic thin strip of relatively thick thickness and good characteristics free from any bend by forming a concave face on a flexible metal belt and ejecting melt onto this recess. CONSTITUTION:For example, an argon gas is injected at high pressure from a gas nozzle 4 to the predetermined position of an endless belt 3 made of metal which is revolved at high speeds by pulleys 1, 2 to push the belt 3 downward by the gas pressure, whereby a concave face part 5 is formed in the longitudinal direction of the belt 3. Next, when the molten metal melted by a high-frequency induction furnace 6 is injected from an ejection port 7 onto the concave face part 5, the molten metal solifies quickly on the belt concave face part 5 and becomes a thin strip 8; at the same time, it is deprived of heat by the metal made belt 3 of a large heat capacity in the state that it is pressed onto the concave face part 5 by centrifugal force.
