Abstract
PURPOSE: To reduce creeping at the time of interruption, by making the automatic transmission so composed that hydraulic pressure is fed to a frictional element for higher gear as an accelerator pedal is released to thrust in the first gear.
CONSTITUTION: As an accelerator pedal is released to stop a vehicle traveling in a (D) range, the vehicle speed is reduced and a 1-2 shift valve is displaced toward low gear. Since line pressure P1 fed to the left end of a spool 118 for a control valve 62 is discharged at this moment, the spool 118 is moved to the left. Line pressure in an oil passage 104 is then fed to a clutch 30 through an oil passage 130 and reversing valve 70 to thrust the clutch 30 in the third gear. Accordingly the gear is put in the (D) range for interrupting the vehicle, and creeping is reduced after the vehicle has stopped completely.
