Abstract

PURPOSE: To accurately cool a rotor at partial loading of variable pressure operation type of a steam turbine with an incorporated type rotor of high-pressure and middle- pressure by conducting a part of high-pressure extraction steam into a middle packing part.
CONSTITUTION: A part of high-pressure extraction steam SE from a high-pressure extraction stage 14 is btanched off as cooling steam SC and is conducted to a cooling steam receiver through a stop valve 20. A part SC1 of the cooling steam SC cools a rotor and is discharged from a leaking steam receiver 11 through a steam passage 23, a high pressure discharge chamber 24, and a high pressure discharge port 25. Other part SC2 of the cooling steam SC cools before and behind a middle pressure primary stage 8 and reaches a balancing hole 27. A middle packing part an a rotor surface and a center port at the middle pressure primary stage can be cooled accurately at partial loading by such a variable pressure operation system.
