Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to perform a multi-step recording by means of a recording head drive circuit which is equivalent to 2-value recording and to enable an optional selection of a number of gradation step reproduced, by a method wherein a coloring density is controlled and multi-gradation is reproduced according to the number of times of a repeated writing. CONSTITUTION:A heating resistance group on a heat-sensitive heat 6 is selectively electrified for heating by means of a record control unit 5 according to record data sent from a video signal processing unit 4, and an one-dimentional pattern is formed on a surface of a heat-sensitive recording sheet 12 which is pressed against a surface of the heating resistance group by means of a sheet feed roller 1. Coefficients of friction between the heat-sensitive recording heat and the surface of the heat-sensitive recording sheet 12 are large and different from each other, and thereby the heat-sensitive recording sheet 12 and between the sheet feed roller 11 and the reverse of the heat-sensitive recording sheet 12 moves with the roation of the sheet feed roller 11. Each time recording of a line complete, the heat-sensitive recording sheet 12 moves by a full pitch of a line, and a hard copy of a CRT display indication picture is obtained on the heat-sensitive recording sheet 12 through the repetition of said motion.
