PURPOSE:To obtain a TV receiver less in the cross modulation beat for 920kHz and buzz sound, by performing beat detection with an audio carrier, after completely rejecting the amplitude modulation components by providing an amplification limiter of video IF. CONSTITUTION:The IF output of video and audio from a tuner 1 is amplified at one amplifier 9. In this case, video carrier is picked up from the video carrier pickup section of a low level video detector 10 succeeded to the amplifier 9 and fed to an amplification limiter 11. Further, the output and the audio IF picked up before the detector 10 are mixed at a detector 12, and the intercarrier signal in the difference frequency 4.5MHz is output. The signal is restored in the original audio signal at the FM detector in 4.5MHz and output from a speaker 8 via an amplifier 7. Thus, a TV receiver less in the cross modulation beat for 920kHz and buzz tone is obtained.
