Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to transmit driving force in both of forward and reverse directions and to rotate driven shafts freely at a high speed, by the use of a clutch mechanism adopting all types of pawl members, rollers and sprags as clutch elements.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of pawl members 10a, 10b are supported in a pivotally movable manner on a pin 10 which is formed integrally with a driving shaft. In driven shafts 3, 4, there are formed continuously slant teeth 12, 13, respectively, which are inclined in the same direction. A clutch mechanism 8 consisting of these pawl members 10a, 10b and slant teeth 12, 13 is designed as a ratchet mechanism. With such an arrangement, two driven shafts 3, 4 can be driven by keeping the clutch mechanism 8 in its coupled state in both in normal and reverse rotation of the driving shaft.
