Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable adjustment of a print-starting point at the time of starting of printing, etc. by the volume of electrocharge or the deflection voltage by making printing with ink-jet particles whose electrocharge is deflected, while collecting noncharged straightly advancing particles. CONSTITUTION:The binary deflection type ink-jet recording device, the ink-jet particles discharged from an orifice 2 are charged by a charging electrode 5 and deflected by deflection electrodes 7a and 7b. The flying trails of the above ink-jet particles are separated into two kinds: the trail of charged deflection when they are charged and the trail of noncharged straight advance when not charged. And, the noncharged straight advancing ink drips 15 are caught and collected by a gutter 8, while the charged deflection type ink drips 16 are used for printing. Thus, the print-starting point at the time of starting of printing, etc. can be adjusted by adjusting the volume of electrocharge of the ink drips or the deflection voltage of the deflection electrodes.
