Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform the covering inexpensively and surely by taking a process wrapping the pipe in the 1st covering material and another process making the 2nd covering material tubular in such a manner that the 1st covering material is wrapped therein from outside. CONSTITUTION:The pipe 3 to be covered is inserted together with the 1st belt- shaped covering material 2 in the inlet end of a guide member 1, and comes out at an outlet end in the state that it is wrapped in the 1st covering material 2. The pipe wrapped only in the 1st covering material 2 is in such a condition that it returns to the original state again just when it comes out of the outlet end of the guide member 1. Therefore, the 2nd covering material 4 is supplied in the vicinity of the outlet end of the guide member 1 in such a manner that it wraps the tubular guide member from outside and the seam thereof is formed in the longitudinal direction in the above. By sealing this seam with a bonding tape 11, the 2nd covering material forms a complete tubular body and wraps the 1st covering material 2.
