Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve an efficiency at a partial load operation by a method wherein a return guide vane and a difuser guide vane are pivoted for rotation by a common driving device.
CONSTITUTION: Pinions 19, 17 are attached to a rotary shaft 18 of a return guide vane 5 and a rotary shaft 16 of a difuser guide vane 15 respectively to engage both of them while a gear 11, connected to a driving motor 14, is engaged with the outer periphery of the pinion 19. When the driving motor 14 is revolved, the return guide vane 5 and the difuser guide vane 15 are pivoted into a reversed direction each other. According to this method, a precirculation may be provided to a stream at the entrance of an impeller by the return guide vane and the amount of flow may be changed more efficiently than a case wherein the amount of flow is regulated by a damper or the like while a loss of incidence may be prevented by the difuser guide vane 15, therefore, the efficiency at a partial load operation may be improved.
