Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve noise, flow quantity, vibration and pulsating flow of an impeller by a method wherein the draft of a vane with respect to the supporting plate is varied continuously.
CONSTITUTION: Sectional shapes of vanes 42, 42... are configured so that two drafts, one is the same at a vicinity of an outer upper rim of a cylindrical impeller 1 and the other is the same at a vicinity of an inner lower rim of the impeller 1, are approached to zero while the drafts of other parts are varied continuously from these two points without distorting configurations of aerofoils, as the section is receding away from a supporting plate 41. According to this method, the rim of the vane 42 at an outside of the cylindrical impeller 1 and a guide plate 5 will never cut air in parallel and vanes 3, 3 cut air diagonally with respect to the guide plate 5, thereby enabling to realize reductions of noise and vibration and stabilizing an eddy current 6, thus, a fan generating little pulsating flow may be obtained.
