Abstract
PURPOSE: To improve the efficiency of the turbine increasing temperature of a working medium by a method wherein combusting air is supplied from a high pressure part of a working cycle and combustion gas in an air heater is highly pressurized to approximately equalize to the pressure of air in a heat transmitting pipe of the heater.
CONSTITUTION: Rotation of the gas turbine 2 effects operation of a compressor 1 and a generator 3. The working medium from the compressor 1 is heat-exchanged with the air in low pressure and middle temperature which is discharged from the turbine 2 by a regenerated heat exchanger 5 and, in addition, the medium is heated by a heater 4 to be supplied to the turbine 2. In the heater 4, fuel fed from a burner 13 is burnt by highly pressurized working medium led from a high pressure part of the working medium cycle to the heater 4 through a take-out pipe 15. Thus, there is highly pressurized also within the heater 4 so that the pressure therewithin can be equalized to that within the heat transmitting pipe 4a.
