Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the most suitable cooling characteristics by fixing a rotary bearing with clips between a support of a fluid coupling and a rotor and independently operating the rotor and a cooling fan, in the cooling device formed in the combination of an electromagnetic clutch and the fluid coupling.
CONSTITUTION: The cooling device has the rotor 8 driven by the internal combustion engine, the fluid coupling 3 and a cooling fan 4 which are connected by means of the electromagnetic clutch 2. The fluid coupling 3 is supported by fixing the rotary bearing 10 with the clips 25, 26 between a bearing hub 11 and the rotor 8, and the both are coupled to be operated independently. Accordingly, the rotor 8 and the cooling fan 4 are independently operated. That is, even if the rotor 8 is driven in high speed, the cooling fan 4 is not operated in numbers of rotations more than a fixed number of rotation and is stopped spontaneously. For this, the most suitable cooling characteristics can be demonstrated.
