Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce fraction defective and to show excellent washing effect in degreasing of hoop by alkali washing, by treating the hoop with hot water previously. CONSTITUTION:Hoop 4 is led by the guide of a deflector roll 5 arranged on the inlet side into a hot water tank 1, where it is immersed into hot water at >=80 deg.C temp., then it is led from the hot water tank to the outside of hot water by the guide of an immersed roll 6' and into a hot water brushing scrubber 2, where it is sprayed with hot water by a pressurized hot water spray 8'' and is washed with brush by a brush roll 7. Subsequently, the hoop is sent to a degreasing tank 3, where it is washed with alkali using a prescribed alkali washing fluid. This method reduces remarkably the stain defective of the furnace of hoop due to insufficient degreasing.
