Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce the hydrogen sulfide discharge of a jet condenser for a geothermal power plant by divding the hot-water reservoir in the gas-cooling portion from the hot-water reservoir in the condenser body by using a partition plate, and spraying with the hot water in the reservoir in the gas-cooling portion at the upper portion of the body through a pressure pump and spray nozzles.
CONSTITUTION: A partition plate 18 is provided in the hot-water reservoir at the bottom of a jet condenser body 2 to divide the reservoir from the hot-water reservoir in a gas-cooling portion 17 which contains a large quantity of hydrogen sulfide (H2S). The hot water in the reservoir in the gas-cooling portion 17 is led through a hot-water outlet pipe 19 and a pressure pump 20 to spray nozzles 21 in the jet condenser body 2 in order to spray in the exhaust gas G from a steam turbine 1. Because the hot-water containing a large quantity of H2S is degassed on touching with the turbine exhaust gas having a low H2S partial pressure, the quantity of H2S is reduced. Therefore, the H2S discharge can be reduced.
