Abstract
PURPOSE: To form the titled apparatus capable of carrying out centrifugal dehydration and press simultaneously and continuously in one apparatus by providing a rotary shaft having a brush provided on a peripheral surface thereof in a spiral fashion in a rotary cylinder formed from a porous material and having a shape whose one end is made to a reduced diameter.
CONSTITUTION: The cylinder 3 whose main body is formed from a punched metal net 4 and a shape of a righthand end part is gradually reduced is provided above a squeezed water receiving tank 2 so as to be able to be rotated and driven to an α direction shown by an arrow and, in the cylinder 3, the rotary shaft 8 having the brush 13 provided on the peripheral surface in a spiral fashion through a screw fin 12 is provided in such a manner that said shaft is offset from a rotation center of the cylinder 3 at a distance δ and the brush 13 is contacted with an inner surface of the metal net 4 only at a contact portion A as well as the shaft can be rotated and driven to a β direction shown by an arrow at a speed faster than that of the cylinder. In above described apparatus, a slurry introduced into the cylinder from a supply port 14 is supplied under pressure to a righthand direction while the water is dehydrated by a centrifugal force is exhausted to the water receiving tank 2 through the metal net 4 and squeezed moreover, thereafter exhausted succeedingly as a squeezed residue from an exhaust port 18.
