Abstract

PURPOSE: To titled composition capable of forming a film having improved adhesiveness to the surface of a nonferrous metal, e.g., Al, etc. and long-term durability, comprising a specific PVA resin composition, oxyacid salt, metallic oxide and phosphoric acid.
CONSTITUTION: The desired composition comprising (A) a composition consisting of 99W50wt% water-soluble PVA resin and/or water-soluble polyvinyl acetal resin and 1W50wt% resin (e.g., phenolic resin, etc.) having a group to react on the hydroxyl group of the resin alternatively, (B) an oxyacid salt, e.g., zinc phsophate and/or metallic oxide, e.g., manganese dioxide, etc., and (C) phosphate and/or metallic oxide, e.g., manganese dioxide, etc., and (C) phosphoric acid.
USE: When coating films are applied to the surface of a nonferrous metal, e.g, Al, etc. for corrosion resistance and good apperance, the coating compound is used by puting between the surface of the metal and the coating film layer to provide the adhesiveness to them.
