Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce the instantaneous current irregularity by a method wherein when an ignition angle of controlled rectifier lags and no ignition pulse is obtained for a specified time, interrupting pulses are given alternately to controlled rectifier units which have small instantaneous value of output voltages. CONSTITUTION:In each ignition pulse generating circuit 12-1 and 12-2, outputs from each synchronizing signal detecting circuit 8-1, 8-2 are counted to represent a phase angle and the counted result is reset by output signals 58, 59 of comparators 10-1, 10-2. When an ignition angle controlling signal 57 varies and the ignition angle lags, the space between ignition pulses of output signals 58, 59 increases and exceeds the preset value, and then overflow of counts in the ignition pulse generating circuits 12-1, 12-2 takes place, and an ignition pulse is generated. Output signals of inhibit devices 13-1, 13-2 are processed to get a logical sum by the output signals 58, 59 of the comparators and OR devices 15-1, 15-2 and thereby ignition pulse train signals 64, 65 are obtained.
