Abstract
PURPOSE:To increase the transmission efficiency by selecting only the information pattern to be read out among the transmission pictures and then transmitting it to the reception side. CONSTITUTION:Slip 11 is scanned, and this scanning information is stored in memory 13 through photoelectric conversion quantizing circuit 12. The pattern of one character is detected and cut out through character detection/cut-out circuit 15. The cut-out character pattern is written into buffer 16 and then compacted at compaction circuit 17. The compacted character pattern is modulated by modulator 18 and then transmitted to transmission line 20. At the reception side, the received character pattern is stored into storage circuit 24 and then given to OCR identification part 25 by one character. The character identified at part 25 is coded and then applied to computer 26. The primary part of OCR can be omitted at the reception part, thus facilitating the information process.
