Abstract
PURPOSE: To eliminate discomfortable feeling given to residents on account of frequently repeating the starting and stopping operations of a wind direction changing device by operating and controlling the wind direction changing device provided at the ventillation port in correspondence with the difference between the indoor and outdoor temperatures.
CONSTITUTION: Lateral vanes 6 which inject air upwards and downwards are provided on the front surface of the ventillation port 4 at the upper part of a main body 1 of an air conditioner containing therein a heat exchanger 2 and a blower 3, and a wind direction changing device 7 for periodically changing the air injecting direction horizontally and a ventiallation port throttling device 8 for changing the air injection speed are provided in the inner part of the ventillation port 4. The wind direction changing device 7 is constructed by a plurality of vertical vanes 9 capable of being changed in its direction through a crank 10 by the operation of a low-speed motor 11, and a throttling device 8 is constituted by a throttling plate 12 rising and falling through a pinion 14 and a rack 13 by the action of a step-motor 15. The wind direction changing device 7 starts to operate when the difference between the indoor and outdoor temperatures becomes large, and it stops when the temperature difference becomes small.
