Abstract

PURPOSE: To improve the heat-proof property and the heat insulating property to reduce deposition phenomena of welded materials, by constituting either of the horn and the chip of the ultrasonic welding device by nonferrous metallic materials.
CONSTITUTION: Either of horn 6 chip 9 of the ultrasonic welding device consisting of electric power source 1, magnetostrictive vibrator 3, horn 6, exciting chip 9 and so on is constituted by nonferrous metallic materials consisting of ceramic materials such as alumina and multite. Otherwise, horn 6 or chip 9 may as well be formed into one body by ceramic materials consisting of the same materials as magnetostrictive vibrator 3, and mineral materials such as artificial ruby may as well be used as constituent materials of chip 9. Heat transferred to horn 6 is reduced by the heat insulating property of ceramic materials dependent upon said constitution, and thermal degradation, deposition phenomena in welding to the weldment to be welded, and wear phenomena can be improved.
