Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a fluid composition suitable as brake fluid for automobile, etc., which is excellent in lubricity, rubber lubricity, and cold resistance, from a mixture of a specific organic polysiloxane and neopentyl glycol ester as the main components. CONSTITUTION:A fluid composition is prepared from a mixture of 60-99.5pts.wt. organic polysiloxane (A) of the formula I (where R is methyl or phenyl and n is 5-200) and 40-0.5pts.wt. neopentyl glycol ester (B) of the formula II (where R' is a 1-21C straight or branched alkyl group) as the main components. The compound of the formula I includes preferably polymethylsiloxane, polymethylphenylsiloxane, etc., and also the value of (n) in the formula I, being of a correlation with viscosity, is preferably those giving a viscosity of 20-100cst at 25 deg.C.
