Abstract

PURPOSE: To eliminate turbulence of inhaled gas flow, to improve performance and to facilitate working of a cylinder head, by coaxially forming a penetrating hole connecting an inhaling muffler chamber to an inhaling chamber formed by a valve cover.
CONSTITUTION: An inhaling muffler chamber 31 and an exhaling muffler chamber 32 are formed in a cylinder head 30, and an inhaling pipe 33 is provided coaxially with a passage hole 11 of a valve plate 8 in the inhaling muffler chamber 31, so that refregerant having returned from its circulation passes through the inhaling pipe 33, the inhaling muffler chamber 31 and a passage hole 11 and smoothly flows into an inhaling chamber 12 of a valve cover. In other words, as the refrigerant flows straightly in the inhaling muffler chamber 31, its flow is protected from turbulence and the inhaled refrigerant is prevented from being heated. And therefore, it is possible, by using such a mechanism, to improve performance and also to facilitate the working of the cylinder head.
