Abstract

PURPOSE: To reduce noise by a method wherein between an inlet port and a discharge port of valve plate an orifice and a slit are respectively formed on the valve plate.
CONSTITUTION: At the changing point from an inlet stroke to a discharge stroke a cylinder chamber 8' expands ready to become negative-pressured. However, in order to connect with the adjacent long hole still in the connected condition with the inlet port 6' through a slit 11, the pressure is supplied therefrom to prevent the becoming negative-pressured. After passing the upper dead point the precompression is going to start but at this moment through an orifice 12 the air is partly discharged to the low-pressured side from the notch groove 18 of the external pad part 17 thus to reduce the peak pressure. Thereby by forming the orifice and slit on the valve plate the peak and negative pressure can be eased up preventing the capacitive efficiency degeneration thus to reduce the noise accompanying the pressure change.
