Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate selecting the even higher harmonic voltage proportional to intensity of the external magnetic field to obtain a high-sensitivity detection performance with low power consumption, by exciting the magnetic core by a triangular distorted waveform.
CONSTITUTION: The voltage of the triangular distorted waveform generated by exciting oscillator 6 is amplified by buffer amplifiers 7a and 7b, and by these outputs, exciting winding 2 wound around ring magnetic core 1 is excited to multiexcite magnetic core 1. The output voltage including higher harmonic componets of the exciting frequency is obtained in output winding 3 by this excitation, and this output voltage is tuned to capacitor 4 to obtain an even higher harmonic, and this even higher harmonic is applied to analogue switch 5. Switch 5 has the switching timing adjusted by the output of phase equipment 8, and detection output 9 is obtained from switch 5. Consequently, the even higher harmonic voltage proportional to intensity of the external magnetic field can be selected easily.
