Abstract
PURPOSE: To prevent dispersion of chaff and to facilitate opening and shutting of a shutter, by a method wherein the shutter is mounted at a suction side of a blower so that it opens only when a cutter is down to a given depth in the ground.
CONSTITUTION: A gauge wheel 44 grounds when a cutter 1 is inserted into the ground, and thereby an upright lever 45 is pushed up and a lever 42 positions a shutter 39 so that the opening 39a of the shutter 39 coincides with a cution part 6a of a blower 6. Then, feeding of chaff takes place. While, when the cutter 1 is not positioned in given depth, the gauge wheel 44 is in a hanging down condition, and thus, the shutter 39 moves to close the suction part 6a, whereby feeding of chaff is shut off.
