Abstract
NEW MATERIAL:The titled compound of formula I (R1 is 1W4C alkyl, etc.; R2 is H, methyl or ethyl; R3 is H or methyl; when R3 is H, R4 is H, methyl, etc.; and when R3 is methyl, R4 is H or methyl).
USE: Insecticidal and miticidal agent having extremely high insecticidal and miticidal activity and low toxicity. Remarkably effective to vermins resistant to organophosphorus agent of carbamate-type pesticides. The compound can be prepared at a relatively low cost, and is volatile at a low temperature.
PROCESS: The compound of formula I is prepared by reacting (A) a carboxylic acid of formula II or its reactive derivative (e.g. acid halide) with (B) an alcohol of formula III (A is hydroxyl group, halogen, etc.) or its reactive derivative (e.g. a compound obtained by substituting the hydroxyl group of an alcohol with halogen, etc.), if necessary in the pesence of (C) a proper solvent, reaction assistant, or catalyst.
