Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce cost and improve reliability by offerring an additional function as a check valve to a reversing spring provided in a piston to lock out an oil at a position where a piston rod is stretched to full length. CONSTITUTION:When a compressed gas spring is released, a piston 2 and a piston rod 3 start to extend by the gas pressure in a gas chamber so that an oil room A contracts and a working fluid in it flows into an oil room B through a passage 10A. When the piston rod 3 extends outside almost to full length, some points on the external peripheral face 14b of a reversing spring 14 which have been preliminarily reversed upward contact the annular projection 1a of a cylinder 1 to reverse the spring downward. Then an extension stage is completed. Under the state, a nonreturn valve 13 is actuated to the closing direction by the reversing spring 14 to be oil-locked.
