Abstract

PURPOSE: To always efficiently actuate pumps and reduce energy loss as much as possible, by loading only a minimum number of pumps and unloading the residual pumps depending on the operating speed of a hydraulic working machine, namely, on the quantity of necessary oil.
CONSTITUTION: Oil discharged from variable-capacity pumps 11W14 connected in parallel with one another is supplied to the cylinders 61W63 of an extrusion press 6 to actuate a stem 64. To control the speed of the stem 64, namely, the quantity of supplied oil to the cylinders 61W63, the opening and closing of loading change-over control valves 41W44 are regulated and the discharge quantities of the pumps 11W 14 are regulated by control units 31W34. When the quantity of necessary oil is not more than the maximum discharge quantity of single pump, the solenoid valve 41 is energized to load only one pump 11 and the other solenoid valves 42W44 are deenergized to unload the other pumps 12W14. Similarly, only a minimum number of pumps are loaded depending on the quantity of necessary oil to perform operation.
