Abstract

PURPOSE:To simplify a connecting method and thin an array by a mechanism wherein two solar cells having polarities symmetric to each other, are arranged onto a conductive substrate so that the one positive potential side and the other negative potential side are connected in series. CONSTITUTION:A P type amorphous semiconductor 302b and an N type amorphous semiconductor 303a are formed onto a conductive substrate 301. An N type amorphous semiconductor 303b is made up onto the semiconductor 302b and a P type amorphous semiconductor 302a onto the semiconductor 303a. Consequently, two solar cells, polarity thereof is symmetric, consisting of the semiconductors 303b, 302b and the semiconductors 302a, 303a are connected in series through the substrate 301. Thus, a bonding process is eliminated and a connecting method is simplified. The whole thickness is thinned because the semiconductors and wiring are all formed by thin-films.
