Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide the decorative sheet having a wood grain pattern, luster and three-dimensional feeling, all similar to a natural wood by impregnating a part of a highly lustrous transparent resin into a pattern formed with an ink having a body pigment in high content.
CONSTITUTION: To express the wood grain pattern of a broad-leaved tree as shown in the figure, an ink is used to apply the wood grain pattern 3 of the broad-leaved tree onto a substrate 1 on which a broad-leaved tree undercolor layer 2 is formed to have a metallic or pearl gray luster. Next, a wood grain plate having harmonious tone is used to make a print with an ink having much of body pigment so that a cellular-duct pattern 4 will coordinate with the wood grain pattern 3. Then, on its entire surface a highly lustrous transparent resin 5 is coated. A part of the resin permeates into the cellular-duct pattern formed with the ink containing much body pigment. The permeated part is caused to have minor rugged form on the surface of the resin layer and decreases the reflection of light at these area than other areas. Thus the lower light reflection area is seen depressed, thereby suppressing the luster of the under coat. This gives a feeling of low brightness.
