Abstract

PURPOSE: To sort resins present in the synthetic resin wastes by utilizing difference in their specific gravities by a method in which a dispersion plate is provided in a water tank and water is sprinkled while making the dispersion plate an amplitude operation.
CONSTITUTION: The synthetic resin waste are charged through a charging port 3 into the upper part of a sedimentation tank 2 by means of a conveyer 8, where in case where the synthetic resin wastes are in lumps, a disperser 9 capable of performing the amplitude operation vertically and longitudinally on the surface of water is provided at the upper part of the sedimentation tank 2 in order to separate a floating resin A from sedimented resin B in small pieces. Water is sprinkled by a sprinkler 17 over the floatage of wastes segmentalized into small pieces by the disperser 9 to separate it into the floating resin A and the sedimented resin B completely.
