Abstract

PURPOSE: To bring down the lower limit of the operating temperature of a refrigerator by introducing the oil from an oil separator to a shaft sealing chamber with the aid of the pressure of a refrigerant gas and filling this shaft sealing chamber with positive pressure oil.
CONSTITUTION: A crank shaft 12 is installed in a crank room 11 in such a manner that it can rotate freely, and the gas fed back from an evaporator side is sucked in from a suction tube be turning the crank shaft 12 and further sent to an oil separator 4 through a discharge collecting pipe 15 and a tube 3. The oil separated and stays at the bottom of the oil separator 4 is sent to which is a shaft sealing room 18 through a return pipe 8 with the aid of the high pressure of a refrigerant gas in the oil separator 4 to fill the shaft sealing room 18 with positive pressure oil.
