Abstract

CONSTITUTION: In-use data processors 1 and 2 with different operation modes are connected to switching unit 4 via interface signals 9 and 10 and further connected to lower devices 7 and 8 via switches 5 and 6 of switching unit 4. Further, stand-by data processor 3 is connected to switching unit 4 to make it possible to change devices 1 and 2 over to stand-by processor 3 according to a stand-by switching indication applied to switcing unit 4. In this stand-by processor 3, operation modes of processors 1 and 2 are set by switching unit 4 in advance and it is made possible for selective signal 12, supplied from switching unit 4 to stand-by processor 3 in stand-by switcing, to select either operation mode of processors 1 or 2, so that the operation mode same as processors 1 and 2 may automatically be set to stand-by processor 3.
