Abstract

PURPOSE: To increase the strength by a method wherein a web plate constituting a plate girder is joined through a flange member connected beforehand to an outside plate made of concrete in the captioned structure of a composite marine construction wherein steel and concrete are used together.
CONSTITUTION: When the bottom part concrete 3 is driven by a cast-in-place method, a flange member 8 is joined by arranging it in such a manner that only a beltlike plate 10 thereof is buried in the bottom part concrete 3. After the required strength is obtained by introducing the prestress in the concrete 3, the lower-side edge 9a of a web plate 9 is welded with the upper outer-side surface 11a of a channel member 11. By this, the web plate 19 is joined to the bottom part concrete 3 through the intermediary of the channel member 11 and the beltlike plate 10 both constituting the flange member 8. This ensures the joining and, in addition, enables the attainment of high strength with the little effect of heat through welding on the concrete.
