Abstract

PURPOSE: To facilitate braking controls without need of large tread force by providing a rod member which moves in response to the rise of fluid pressure in a cylinder chamber and a valve which is opened and closed by this member on one side of pistons in a cylinder equipped with large and small bores.
CONSTITUTION: The first and second pistons 9, 10 equipped with lands 5W7, 11 respectively engaged with its large and small diametral bores 3, 4 are housed in a cylinder member 1. Here, the piston 9 provides a rod member 37 which moves to the right against a spring 45 with rise of fluid pressure in chambers 13, 14 by movement to the left at its braking time and provides a valve 46 which closes a hole 40 by being moved by a spring 48 at the same time. In this occasion, the fluid pressure in the chamber 13 works on a groove 42 in the axial direction of the rod member 37. Besides, in the piston 9, when said fluid pressure becomes a higher settled value, it is displaced at a stepped part of the rod member 37 against a spring 51, a valve 50 to open the groove 42 is provided, by which part of the fluid pressure is returned through a hole 38, a port 21 to a reservoir 24.
