Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a soil conditioner which prevents an outbreak of putrefactive bacteria and removes an injury by continuous cropping in a lotus pond, by a method wherein a powder of marine algae, a colloidal silicic acid, a delayed release phosphoric acid, an org. fertilizer and a complex fertilizer are blended with a known bacteria-contg. agent.
CONSTITUTION: A known bacteria-contg. agent (NMR bacteria 10% + ferrous sulfate 90%; trade name: Nitto-origin ), a powder of marine algae, a colloidal silicic acid, a delayed release phosphoric acid such as triple superphosphate or bone meal and an org. fertilizer such as rape oil or fish meal are mixed with a compound fertilizer such as urea or potassium chloride to produce the desired soil conditioner for a lotus root.
EFFECT: NMP bacteria exhibits a bacteriocidal action and an anti-bacterial action against putrefactive bacteria such as Fusarium or Pythium. Chlorella is propagated by the presence of the marine algae. As a result, a lotus pond is fertilized. Floating org. contaminants are adsorbed by the colloidal silicic acid to keep water clean.
