Abstract
PURPOSE: To form easily a durable, water-repellent and stain-resistant wall which has a Japanese-style appearance, by a method wherein a specified silicone rubber layer contg. glass bead having a specified particle diameter is formed on the surface of the base material of a wall.
CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. of a polymer A of the formula [wherein R is substd. or unsubstituted monovalent hydrocarbon group; n is the number of monomers required for producing α,ω-dihydroxypoly(diorganosiloxane) having a viscosity of 20W1,000,000cps at 25°C] is kneaded with 10W500pts.wt. of galss bead having an average particle diameter of not more than 500μ. The kneaded material is dispersed in 10'100pts.wt. of a solvent such as toluene, petroleum benzine, or trichloroethylene. To the dispersion is added 0.1W30pts.wt. of, as a hardener, a silicone compd. having at least two functional groups capable of reaction with the hydroxyl groups of the polymer A, in order to produce a uniformly mixed compsn. If necessary, a pigment, a curing catalyst, an oil paint, etc. are added to the compsn. to obtain a wall paint compsn. The resulting compsn. is coated on the surface of wood, concrete, etc. to form a water-repellent, stain-resistant and fire-retardant wall which does not cuase cracking and is hygnienically harmless.
