Abstract

PURPOSE: To secure a proper and simple evaluation for the lubricating property of the test piece, by giving a pressure bonding through the jetting of the emulsion under test to the rotating ring-shaped test piece and the disk-shaped test piece and then setting the sliding speed between the both test pieces in accordance with the temperature or the like of the test piece.
CONSTITUTION: The ring-shaped test piece 1 is turned by the motor 4 and at the eccentric position of the disk-shaped test piece 2 while jetting the emulsion under test from the mixing tank 5. Then piece 2 is pressure-bonded to piece 1. Then the sliding speed, the load and furthermore the temperature when necessary are set for the both test pieces to each in accordance with the supply flow rate, the pressure and the temperature of the emulsion under test. Thus a proper evaluation is secured for the lubricating property of the rolling oil emulsion which is used as the lubricant for rolling of the metal material and other uses.
