Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled composition suitable as an agent for pretreating a concrete coat, which is obtained by mixing a reaction-curable composition, comprising a combination of at least two reactive constituent materials having a specified or lower intrinsic viscosity, a specified polymer material and a solvent.
CONSTITUTION: (a) 10W90wt% of a reaction-curable composition, comprising a combination of at least two reactive constituent materials, each of intrinsic viscosity ≤8ml/g and capable of curing by reaction without heating, and (b) 90W10wt% of a polymer material of intrinsic viscosity ≥15ml/g, miscible with component (a), are mixed with a solvent such as xylene or toluene, in an amount required to reduce viscosity to ≤500cp, to obtain the titled composition. The composition is used for the reinforcement of a brittle layer by impregnation prior to coating, when coating a concrete, mortar, etc. of which the surface has been embrittled by rain, freezing, carbonation, weathering, etc.
