Abstract

PURPOSE:To reduce recording and scanning irregularity dependent upon rotation fluctuation of the drum, by generating pulses in connection with instantaneous positions of the rotary drum and by performing sub-scanning drive by these pulses. CONSTITUTION:Pulse 40 corresponding to the instantaneous position of a rotary drum is given to motor driver 45 through frequency divider 41. Recording start position designation signal 47 and end position designation signal 48 are input to register 49, and the output is input to sub-scanning position control circuit 43 together with the output of position counter 51 which counts the signal of frequency divider 50. Internal oscillator 44 generates pulses for searching time, stop time, and return time, and these pulses are given to motor driver 45. By this control, rotation of motor 46 can be controlled to reduce generation of sub-scanning irregularity.
