Abstract
PURPOSE: To realize an easy and economical treatment of the waste water, by shifting a medium attached with the denitrification germ between the two separated denitrification processes and then treating the excessive denitrification germs by making use of the internal absorbent type denitrification reaction.
CONSTITUTION: The waste water 1 containing the NH3 is nitrified into the NOX through the nitrification process 2 to be turned into the nitrified water 3. On the other hand, the waste water 1' which contains only the NOX as a nitrogen compound and no NH3 flows directly into the denitrification process A along with the organic carbon source 5 (such as the methanol), and thus the greater part of the NOX are denitrified and then isolated from the medium (denitrification germ) layer to be turned into the supernatant 4 to then flow into the denitrification process B. In this process B, the denitrification process B completes by the internal absorbent type denitrification reaction which uses the excessive germ component itselt of the medium sent from the process A via the transfer line 6 as the reducing agent and with no injection of the source 5. Thus the treated water 8 is discharged. After this, the medium of the process B is sent back to the process A via the line 7.
