Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance liquid tightness by installing a back-up ring and a piston ring at the periphery of piston to press the inner surface of the cylinder and by coupling this piston ring with spigot joint. CONSTITUTION:A piston 30 is arranged in the working piston of an oil pressure damper. A channel groove 303 is formed at the periphery of the piston 30 and, in this groove, a back-up ring 31 is fitted. This back-up ring 31 is made of rubber and, on its periphery, a band-shaped piston ring 32 is fitted. One end of this piston ring 32 is formed in a projection 321 while the other is formed in a recess 322, and these ends are bound firmly in such a way that the elastic force of the piston ring 32 can fasten itself around the piston 30.
