Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable to enlarge a point where an infrared ray is detected and perform an accurate measurement by moving the surface to be detected of an infrared ray detector along a plurality of holes being made on the wall of a heating chamber in a device wherein the temperature to be heated is measured by detecting the infrared ray being rediated from a substance to be heated.
CONSTITUTION: When a power source is switched on to supply currents to a magnetron to be driven, microwaves are emitted in a heating chamber 12 to start heating and cooking of foostuffs. At the same time, a drive motor 16 is rotated revolving a strirrer-fan 15 through a belt 20 and the like, thereby roughly stirring the microwaves. Following said action, an infrared ray detector 21 detects intermittently on the detection surface 21a the infrared rays radiated from the foodstuffs while rotating above the plural holes 22 ..., and the measurement of the temperature of the foostuffs is performed based on the result of the detection. With such a construction, the detection points of the infrared rays can be spread over a wider range and accordingly, temperature even the whole of a large-sized heated substances can be measured in accuracy.
