Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit the control of the flow rate of gas circulated for raising the efficiency of separation by providing a flow path through part of lost gas alone or parts of concentrated and lost gases, drawn out of scoop pipe, are again supplied to a supply pipe for gas to be separated.
CONSTITUTION: The supply pipe 50 for gas to be separated is provided with the flow path 53 through which part of lost component gas is resupplied to the lost side scoop pipe 52. Since, in the usual type centrifugal separator, the pressure near the central part of rotary cylinder is very low, the pressure of the gas supply pipe is low and the pressure of the lost side scoop pipe becomes high, so that gas of a flow rate determined by the fluid conductance of the flow path 53 and the pressure of both pipes automatically flows from the lost side scoop pipe 52 into the supply pipe 50. The installation of the flow path 53 enables the efficiency of separation to be raised at small radial position at the tip of the lost side scoop pipe.
