Abstract

PURPOSE: To permit the vehicle to be guided to a predetermined place by a control station on ground by permitting a signal to be transmitted when the battery capacity is reduced to a preset capacity prior to the setting-in of the failure of running.
CONSTITUTION: A running cable loop 1 is burried under the floor surface, and a vehicle 2 can run by sensing a magnetic field set up by an electric wire as signal is intercepted by an antenna 10. The vehicle 2 is provided with a device for sensing a battery capacity shortage signal, and when the battery capacity becomes lower than a predetermined value, a signal provided from the sensor is transmitted from antennas 10 and 11 of the vehicle 2 and coupled through a receiving loop 14 provided in the vicinity of the loop 1 to a ground control station. The ground control system provides, in response to this signal, a signal for running the vehicle to a charging station to the loop 1, whereby the vehicle is run to the charging station.
