Abstract

PURPOSE: To enable a reliable setting of a cardinal point in the water at an optional position when a structure is built in the water with piles and blocks.
CONSTITUTION: A support stand, supporting the weight of a breakwater structure at a pile 1, is built at the pile 1, and for this purpose, tapered toroidal objects 4 and 5 serving as the support stand are seperated into two portions; an outer side 4 is formed in a toroidal object and an inner side 5 is divided into several portions. The toroidal objects are hung down from a top of the pile centering around the pile by means of wires 2 and 3 fastened on their respective toroidal objects, and the wires 2 and 3 are temporarily secured on a support device at a given position. Blocks 7 having round holes are piled up at the outer toroidal object 4, and a member 8, where the wires 2 and 3 are secured, is bridged over the upper blocks. A sufficient wedge effect is then created at the inner divided toroidal objects 5 causing the member 8 to serve as a reaction rest, and the wires 2 and 3 are stretched until the toroidal objects 4 and 5 are sufficiently adhered closely to the pile 1.
